Dungeon of Elements (DoE) is a new dungeon-crawling RPG with combat inspired by some of the favorite classic puzzle games like Dr. Mario and Tetris. It provides a fun, immersive and hybrid gameplay by mashing up many different popular elements into the mechanics of dungeon crawler, which appeals to both casual and hardcore players.

Dungeon of Elements is set in the world of Primordiax, the ever-lasting universe with its immense depth of lore shared by all of Frogdice’s games. Players in the game will defeat over 60 enemy types, collect pets, craft items and gear through alchemical experimentation, build a vast bestiary of defeated monsters, experience boss fights while braving through dungeons, ruins and 45 different environments within a compelling storyline.

Dungeon of Elements

Key Features:

  • Innovative Combat: inspired by two classic puzzlers Dr. Mario and Tetris, the in-game combat is based on Match-4 mechanics as players throw color-tinted capsules, each with two halves that can be one of the four colors representing the Four Elements, at the enemies (also colored), connect four of the same color and eliminate enemies in the dungeon.
  • Diverse Dungeons: explore all three continents of Primordiax, trundling through 45 different environments from ruins and ancient temples to crypts and lairs of ancient dragons.
  • Deep Crafting: put any two ingredients – elemental essences, weapons, armors, etc. – in the cauldron and discover over 150 different recipes by experimentation.
  • Amazing Customization: highly customizable characters with plenty of options in facial features and clothing in the beginning and hundreds of gear options with progression in the game
  • Collection: collect 10 (thus far) different pets that are cute, cuddly or scary; defeat beasts and capture them in your Bestiary where you can zoom in on the 3D model for collected monsters, spin them around and experiment with their animations
  • Branching Storyline: follow the immersive lore and make choices that change the game

Dungeon of Elements is near completion and slated to launch in August of 2013. It is now raising funds via its Kickstarter and informally starting building a community by the campaign. Its estimated retail price is $20. If players want to get one with discount, it is the time to be a backer as the minimum pledge is $5 less than the retail price.
