While lots of sports fans are looking forward to the opening of 2012 Olympics in July of London, game – video game – enthusiasts can gain earlier access to the great event as sportsmen in London 2012, the official video game of the Olympic Games to release on June 26th.

London 2012

London 2012 features over 45 sports, blue-ribbon and brand-new, for players to compete and go for gold. Just like real athletes who prepare themselves four years for the event, players at least need a few tries and practices to horn skills in controlling. Timing and Precision decide performance. Take hurdling for instance. Players need to push forward on the analog stick to run, then tap button A to vault over the barricades, and repeat; if the timing of vaulting is missed, the athlete’s knees run to the obstacles and get injured and failed naturally. Unresponsiveness is disaster for a sports simulation, so the game presents improved controls and various controllers including Kinect and PlayStation Move.

Realistic movement of every in-game athlete is paid great attention to. And it’s true to the in-game venues that are constructed according to the real-world blueprints. And there will also have suitable commentary based on players’ performance at times. And all of these are efforts made to create the realistic experience of gameplay. Sadly, though, players can’t play the real-life athletes who excel at their own sports in the game. Though as an unknown, every player is a potential gold winner. Online leader board will track personal medals, which earns National Pride points for their own country. In addition to the classic single-player mode, there are also couples of alternative play modes including Events Mode, Party Play and Online Mode.

Designed for cross-platform, London 2012 will be launched at platforms of PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Which nation will be the big winner?
