Massively Multiplayer Combat Strategy Title from Spacetime Games

AUSTIN, Texas – Oct. 17, 2013 – Combat technology may change in the future, but wars will still be won and lost by the man in the commander’s seat when Spacetime Games’ massively multiplayer combat strategy title, Battle Command! launches in November.

Conflict is ripping the world apart as gamers take command of a small band of soldiers they must build into the greatest military force the world has seen.  Players oversee resource collection, base construction, recruiting troops, alliances and battlefield combat.  Commanders can hone their skills by playing through single player missions or go right on the offensive and challenge others from around the world.

Players have a wide variety of human and robotic infantry, armor, air as well as static defensive units to use in combat.  In between battles, they can hold war games to test strategies and base defenses without incurring damage.

While skill on the battlefield is important, winning commanders will need to also pay attention to the diplomatic front.  Establishing embassies and signing alliances with other players is crucial to success.  Allied militaries can station troops in each other’s territories for defense, share resources and improve build times. 

“When developing Battle Command!, we kept the maxim ‘Amateurs talk about tactics, but professionals study diplomacy and keep logistics’ firmly in mind,” Gary Gattis, CEO, Spacetime Games, said. “We wanted to make strategy gaming more layered by adding social interaction with other players as a requirement for success and a significant part of the enjoyment players will get from the experience.”

Battle Command! is the second in Spacetimes Games’ Battle franchise and the sixth title from the studio. Previous Spacetime games include Arcane LegendsStar LegendsDark Legends and Pocket Legends, a franchise that has generated more than 250 million play sessions and 20 million downloads.

Battle Command! will be free to download and play. The game features optional micro transactions and virtual currency that enhance the play experience with vanity items and speed boosts.
