Tower Story is a free-to-play fun puzzle game on Facebook. A matching-3 variation, the game brings a casual yet immersive experience for players with its over 100 levels, cute artwork and rich variety of themes.

Tower Story starts directly with the match mechanics. In the tall mysterious tower, you need to start from the bottom making matches to gather purple lemons, and climb your way up to restore colors to it. Currently, there are all together 150 levels of a series of different themes from toyland to magic, with more coming soon.

Tower Story

The game is simple to learn. You click on groups of two or more same-colored creatures to make them disappear and try to use the limited moves to achieve the specific goal of each level. Making matches of two creatures is the basic and making bigger or special matches will generate bonus tiles that matching fans will find familiar. There is the usual star rating system to keep you motivated; so are a wide collection of powerful boosters from extra moves to magic mines available to unlock and purchase.

Starting from the easies level, you can start your journey, mastering better skills and overcoming the increasingly challenging levels. While the game goal is more or less the same – collect all purple lemons and achieve x points – each level can be a different experience due to the ever changing play board and special tile design. Universally, though, you will always enter a game that has super-cute creatures with lovely and smiley faces and distinct characteristic. It sounds a little silly, but those little creatures will naturally put a smile on your face, too.

Tower Story is a wonderful game for solo play. It does include the minimum social elements – ask friends for more lives and free gifting – in it, but doesn’t set any actual barrier like inviting friends to unlock the next map to force upon the social interaction.

Tower Story doesn’t put anything new to the well-established template of the puzzle genre. But clearly, the cutesy of the game design plus solid and plenty puzzle challenge have won many matching fans’ hearts. At the time of writing, it has accumulated over one billion players in about a month’s release. A wonderful time-killer, indeed.
