Bigpoint has just released more information on their upcoming Unity-based title, Universal Monsters Online, a fast-paced, free-to-play MOBA that brings together all of Universal’s iconic monsters into one competitive experience. In the news release, Bigpoint briefly introduced players’ role and the freemium model, and called for players’ sign-up for the closed beta testing around the corner.
“Taking on the persona of Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon – among many other notable monsters from Universal’s rich history – players compete with and against each other in a blend of combat and strategic game play.”
As a free-to-play title, Universal Monsters Online supports microtransaction in item shops, where players can use premium currency to purchase items “such as new characters (after a free-trial period), unique character skills and special abilities”.
