Vindictus is a free-to-play fully-fledged fantasy MMORPG created by an internal studio of Korean publisher Nexon and published widely in South Korea, North America, Europe, Asia and several other regions.

Vindictus is set in a war-torn barren land where its people fight ferocious monsters lurking around and get stuck in the heated conflicts among themselves. But they struggle to achieve the Legend with hope that one day their black-winged goddess will bring them to the paradise-like land of Erinn where two moons are shining over the sky and peace prevails.

Players in the game can enter into their favorite role out of six options with unique abilities, attributes, appearance and background story. While the initial character customization is limited, players can further personalize their role with the wide collection of equipment & garment and the possibility of altering some attributes.

The game structure follows the established pattern of a typical MMORPG out there. The bulk of gameplay is made up by the mainstream elements of questing, dungeon exploration, group play, guild activities, PvP conflicts, skill tree, gear crafting and so on. While the basic contents are what players are familiar with, the game does boast some highlighted features that put it on the map.

Battles will be plentiful. By following the quest line, players will encounter a variety of enemies including both beasts & bosses and real-player rivals. The game features brutal physics which renders the battle scene in a realistic and violent style. During fights, players can destroy almost everything in the environments, use the fragments as weapons perhaps, and get a direct impression of the gore of war.

Dungeon crawling still plays an important role. Players can try out dungeons in three tiered difficulty levels and select to brave the challenge in solo or with teamwork. While it is not a bad choice to do some solo mission occasionally, it is certain that group cooperation is more fun with more challenging bosses, better loots and the dynamic strategic teamwork that is otherwise absent.

The in-game skill system allows players to gradually unlock a series of abilities with level-up for their own character/class. And the noticeable is the transformation possibility that gives players the chance to morph into a stronger self for a limited period and possibly reverse the losing situation during fights if it’s used in good timing. Besides, the complete crafting system further facilitates better performance in battle. With cool gears crafted and enchanted, players not only gain a personalized looks but get bonus stats in attributes. Note that gear wears, though.

Vindictus has been released in the market for more than two years and won a large active community with its impressive physics, tactical boss fights, rich crafting system and story-driven quests. Look for a free-to-play but not cheap MMORPG? You can try Vindictus.
